Our work is a crucial aspect of migratory bird conservation.

As an essential responder to threats like invasive predator encounters, collisions, fishing gear, and habitat loss, we consider our work a crucial aspect of migratory bird conservation, especially considering that for migratory birds, Louisiana is the southernmost welcome center along the Mississippi Flyway.

Our region of Louisiana, particularly the coastal areas, provides a critical link between North American nesting grounds and wintering areas in Latin America for many songbirds and other Neotropical migrants.

365 days a year, we provide ill, injured, and orphaned birds the skilled and compassionate care needed for a second chance at life.

Every ill, injured and orphaned bird that arrives at our facility is given the best possible chance of survival with the ultimate goal of release back into the wild.

We do this through proper nutrition and skilled supportive care.

Our ability to perform this important work would not be possible if it wasn't for the kind and generous support of people like you.

We are grateful for you.
